Do not prescribe a stay from stereotype

The former page asserted comparative infrastructure, a two-to-four-night norm and a quieter island atmosphere without primary evidence. Those claims were removed. Choose duration from the places, services and transfers you can verify.

Build the north around Jaffna

Jaffna is the practical base for city institutions, Nallur, Jaffna Fort and possible island extensions. Decide whether the trip is primarily cultural, historical or island-focused before assigning days.

Treat islands as separate logistics

Delft Island requires current road, boat and weather checks. Do not present it as a guaranteed day trip simply because it appears near Jaffna on a map. Build a city alternative if transport does not operate.

Visit with context and restraint

The region's recent history is lived, not decorative. Use institutions and responsible guides, avoid intrusive photography and do not reduce communities to conflict narratives. Verify opening and transport details close to travel.
